NO MORE Sunday Scaries
(Even if you don't know what you're interested in)

1) I've Been In Your Shoes
I was a high achiever frustrated at my career just like you. I graduated from an Ivy League university and had a "perfect on paper" job in finance. I wasn't happy and wanted more but I didn't know what I wanted, and felt guilty for not being more grateful with a job so many people would kill for. It took me 7 long years to figure it out but I did manage to successfully pivot into my dream career as a General Manager at a Series B fashion startup.
2) Not Textbook Knowledge But Lived Experience
And that's how I created my 3 step Ctrl Alt Career framework - through trial and error, and not just regurgitated from a textbook. I know my methods work because I've put it to the fire for myself and honed it over the past 5 years with hundreds of clients.
3) Not Another HR professional Offering Bandaid solutions
I'm not here to help you tweak your resume or update your Linkedin profile in hopes of landing some interviews. What I am here to do is to solve the root cause of your career unhappiness and help you land a job that is a true extension of who you are.
4) My Results Speak For My Work
I have coached over 150+ high achievers from Google, Goldman Sachs, McKinsey and more to pivot from their “perfect on paper” job into a “perfect for you” career that they wake up EXCITED about.
5) No BS, Results Oriented Coaching
To get results fast, you need a duplicable system and accountability. My coaching style is results driven and action oriented. I don't waste time going through fluffy concepts trying to make you feel good but leave you still feeling lost.

After:
✅ Had always been a strong mentor and loved training the next generation of leaders
✅ Through the Ctrl Alt Career framework, we identified that working at a university was a perfect culmination of his passion, purpose and strengths
✅ Once he identified his unique selling points, we worked on translating it into a strong personal brand (that was forward looking rather than backward looking)
✅ With a strong personal brand, he started attracting job interviews and didn't have to keep applying to jobs
I approached many career counsellors and sat through several “introductory” sessions to listen to their pitches. Jen’s was different, I needed someone who can understand my struggles as she genuinely shared about hers. That was the moment i thought she will be the right fit as this was going to be several months long guidance, so it's important we needed to click.
I liked that Jen also has all these toolkits like the Doraemon character - somehow she will pull out some tricks in her bag to show me that is what you do or try that. There’s a lot of homework you will need to do on your own but its that process that make you realise and then the “ah ha” moment why she got you to go through that process.
Jen is also very intelligent and she has like a bag full of vocabularies to help you convey your thoughts or describe things that you don't often describe about yourself and when she puts it in layman way you kinda start to picture yourself in that way which is great- you feel good and you feel its describing who you are."
Before:
❌ Stopped learning at work and was just going through the grind every day
❌ Increasingly frustrated with the lack of structure at the VC she worked at
❌ Wanted to learn best practices and add a brand name to her resume
After:
✅ Applied the Ctrl Alt Career networking methodology and created her own job at a global investment bank
✅ The hiring manager loved her so much, she created a job posting just for her
✅ And of course she was the top candidate (since the JD was written with her in mind) and landed the job within 1 month of her first meeting!
Looking back, I remember being very focused on external values and external voices around prestige and we were exploring a lot of roles that sounded great on paper but never really spoke to the core of who I am.
Until Jen introduced me to one of her contacts - who was an ex-hedge fund/private equity but turned entrepreneur and launched into entrepreneurship through M&A (yes he “bought” himself a career)!
That introduction by Jen really helped me to pushed the boundaries of what I thought was possible with a career coupled “test-driving” this option before I took the plunge, was really ultimately what led me down this path that I’m on today where I made my first business acquisition (and then a second recently)!”
Before:
❌ Felt short-changed at work, didn't have the best relationship with boss
❌ Unsure about the longer term progression options within the company
❌ Overly focused on external values and only looking at jobs in Oil & Gas just because of prestige
After:
✅ Realized that the reason he wasn't getting any job offers previously was because he kept going for roles that sounded safe and prestigious, but were not what he was innately interested in
✅ Using the Ctrl Alt Career framework, identified his core values, strengths and interests and translated it into being a business owner
✅ Through understanding his background in business development and private equity, decided to pursue entrepreneurship via buying a few small businesses rather than building from scratch
✅ Made 2 business acquisitions
✅ Energised and excited to go to work everyday!
"I really appreciate Jen’s honesty and the fact she listens really well. Jen then can make non-biased viewpoints, where she would be able to extract and pull things out from me, where often I don’t know the exact words/titles to the career or things I would never be able to speak out about.
I have lots of ideas and “answers” to questions I was never asked before, so the fact Jen knows what to ask creates more flow and focus, for the path I’m going on.
I also really like how there are hidden elements of psychology in our coaching session, where not only we talk about mindsets and thought process, but finding a path that is tailored to me, in order to break free of the old and forge forward.
To add on, I never thought I had any “hard skills” because what I do know, seems so typical and what everyone knows how to use. She gave me a new perspective that my actual hard skill strengths are really valuable and can make money in the workplace, regardless on what I want to do, but rather finding the right role/fit to make those strengths shine.
Lastly, I do like how we thoroughly discuss through the research I did and going deep dive about the jobs, roles, and fit. It’s not just super surface level with a simple “yes or no” but full on explanation.
Her layout and structure for the worksheets are great to reference back and forth in order to set as reminders or remembering what needs to be done/accomplished. I particularly like the venn-diagram!"
Before:
❌ Hated her job but it paid well and was prestigious
❌ Had spent her whole life planning to build a career in finance only to realize once she's in it that she hated it
❌ Wanted to leave but wasn't sure what else she could do since she had spent her entire career working in finance
❌ Everyone labelled her as the 'finance' girl which made her believe she could never do anything else outside of the field
After:
✅ She had always loved skincare and wanted to work in the industry but ruled it out because she felt it was 'too fun to be a real job'
✅ Successfully rebranded her from 'finance girl' to 'beauty girl' through the Ctrl Alt Career framework
✅ Landed her dream job working in Business Development for a science backed skincare startup that she loves!
With Jen's help, I am more confident of myself, realising that I am a creative person.
I would have never gone this deep without Jen's help, but probably ended up going down the rabbit hole - considering external factors only.
Just wanted to say thank you so much for supporting me with this!"
Before:
❌ Was worried about job stability due to the tech layoffs
❌ Wanted to move into AI engineering or frontend dev because she felt it was more future proof and safe
❌ Was thinking about signing up for an online Computer Science degree
❌ Considering studying nursing as her family always wanted her to do it and nurses will never be replaced by AI!
After:
✅ Realized that she was making career decisions based off of external factors - what other people wanted for her, rather than what was true to her
✅ She is actually very creative, loves storytelling and anime
✅ Instead of going back to school to become an animator, we are working under an apprentice model to build a portfolio for her part time
Jen is a good listener and extremely patient. During the sessions, she asks probing questions which makes me start thinking deeply. This helped me to narrow down my interests. I have also learnt how important it is to identify the values that matter as it made me better understand myself."
Before:
❌ Miserable at her job as a tax accountant
❌ Frustrated with the work culture
❌ Wanted to leave but wasn't sure what to do next
❌ Original idea was to work at a VC or fintech because of her interest in startups and because it sounded cool and prestigious
After:
✅ Realized that what she truly cared about was (1) helping others through financial education, (2) writing, (3) creating impact and building something from scratch
✅ Landed freelance writing gigs in fintech
✅ Built her own personal finance coaching business teaching women how to invest
❌ Retrenched as part of the big tech layoffs
❌ Self confidence plummeted
❌ Considered taking any job from project management to consulting to finance
❌ Shotgun approach to applying to jobs - blasting resumes everywhere with no regard as to whether he was a fit or if he was interested
After:
✅ Using the Ctrl Alt Career framework, we identified his core interest in luxury goods and wine
✅ Identified his core strengths in skills, languages, operations
✅ As he entered into a different phase of life, he wanted more stability and wanted a strong MNC brand name on his resume
✅ We combined his interests, strengths, values and narrowed the job search and laser focused into finding jobs within luxury companies
✅ The result? He landed his dream job in account management at Moet Hennessy
✅ A position he would have found 'not serious enough to be a job' if we didn’t work together
